TMI question...

Can anyone reccomend a really strong and reliable anti-perspirant/deoderant? I have been sweating really easily lately, and nothing I have tried seems to be working. I keep getting terrible sweat stains on my clothing, and it's so embarrassing. TIA!

Mitchum.

My husband uses the roll on and I sometimes use it for very HOT days.

I read an article in RedBook mag about this. They did a test and the new Adidas deodorant came out on top. Rated as the best anti-perspirant. I find that shirts the rub against my under arm make me sweat! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

One of my friends says her FH has the same problem and loves this stuff.

I think i'm going to try both the adidas and the mitchum and see which works best for me. I hate being sweaty!!

Secret Platinum works best for me. I used to work in a hot kitchen in the middle of the summer and it did the job.

I like Mitchum and Lady Speed Stick. I sweat a lot too - even when its not even hot out! I hate it. But I have found that if you switch your deoderant every few months or so its more effective for some reason.

Re: TMI question...

Jax, this has happened to me recently- the deodorant that has been my old faithful (Dove) has been failing and it was really embarrassing the other day. I find every once in a while I have to change. I don't know if it has to do with your body chemistry changing or you just get "used to" it , but it is so frustrating.

Secret Platinum is next on my list to try....

Interesting you mention Dove because I feel that it has been "failing" lately also.
I had to run out and buy Suave spray at the dollar store Chat Icon

I swear by Certain-Dri

It's prescription strength, the only thing i've found to work 100% of the time.

I was going to say Certain-Dri too. But you can only use it at night, and not more than like once/twice a week, it's sooo strong.
Use a regular deoderant daily.

Re: TMI question...

I've been using Adidas for over a year now...it works well - I'm not a sweater though.

I have noticed the need to switch up deoderants after a while...that's when I discovered Adidas.

I've also noticed that clothes that AREN'T natural fibers, contribute to the stink factor. I basically just wear cotton in the hot weather...

I thought it was just me! Maybe it is only good for a while then you have to switch (like shampoo) because your body gets too used to it?
I remember someone did an "armpit test" a few months ago on LIW. I dodn't remember what come out on top though. Chat Icon

Re: TMI question...

Thanks ladies...it's good to know i'm not alone with this one.

I think the synthetic fabrics do have a lot to do with it. I find I sweat a lot when I'm wearing blouses that have some "stretch" material in them.

I was just out and bought the mitchum and the arrid. I will keep you posted.

Felice, it's good to see you back on the boards! It has been awhile!

I second Certain-Dry. Nothing else works for me and I only use it every third night.
