hi!!!!!!
I think i said Hi before many months ago....but now we are officially BD'ing! I am not going to post under my name b/c of family lurker on here!
We have been trying Since the beginning of August...Now a lil background for me.....My AFs are irregular ever since I got of BC last year. AF visits me every other month. Well the last one was june 10 and no AF since...My doc says everything looks healthy(in June) but we r waiting on blood tests now. I didnt get AF this Aug....it should have been on the 10th......
I have been getting BFNs I havent tested this week but I feel like I am getting AF. I am getting weird cramping in my stomach not like normal cramps those these feel a lil different. I had a little spotting 2 days ago....not sure if I should test today or wait for tomorrow
I hate constantly testing I am driving myself nuts LOL Dam AF why cant u just come on time!
I do use OPKs. I havent O'ed yet according to these strips. Does that mean I can't get pregnant...I mean I am right in saying you need to O to even get an egg right?
I am so excited trying but I have to try not to get frustrated. which I do easily LOL

welcome and good luck!!
if you have irregular cycles you can chart your BBT (basal body temperature) to confirm when you O so you know you are BDing at the right time.

As for your question, yes you are right that you can't get pregnant without ovulating since ovulation is when your ovaries release an egg into your fallopian tubes and the sperm would then fertilize it to make a baby. BUTTTT, just because you haven't gotten a + on an OPK all this time doesn't mean you haven't actually ovulated. Sometimes you get a very short surge of only 12 hours or less so if you're only testing once a day, you theoretically could miss it on the OPKs. Also, you could be Oing earlier or later in your cycle than when you have been testing. Unless you are temping, you can't know for sure that you are or aren't, but definitely track your CM at least so that you can have a good idea of when you're more fertile.
