Three months of trying, two months with my CBEFM showing only high readings and no peaks.. and tonight I thinking I spotted AF ( no pun intended).
I know it's only three months - but it still is kinda sad

I hear ya 
I think no matter how long (or short) you have been trying, once you have made the decision to TTC, it's always sad when mean old AF shows up.
Hang in there - as DH tells me - "Your time will come"

I totally agree. After the first month, I actually cried when I saw AF. It's just disappointing.

Are you charting your temperatures? I've been reading TCOYF and I cannot believe the amount of information we can tell by charting our temps and looking at our CM.

I actually went out today and bought the basal thermometer and I am going to start that next month... I'm just a bit nervous b/c the temps only show u AFTER you ovulate... but I'm still going to do it along with the CBEFM. Hopefully it will work.

So sorry! I really hope next month is it for you!!! I think it's great that you got the BBT thermometer. Even though you will only be able to tell after the fact that you did in fact ovulate, the point is that you will KNOW for sure that you are ovulating and not just having anovulatory bleeding.
Chart your BBT along with your CM and that should help you have a good idea of when O is coming.

Hang in there. I am on cycle #5 now and I know how fustrating it is. TCOYF is a great book. I learned so much from it. Last cycle I temped and now I know for sure I ovulated and how long my luteal phase is. I definitely recommend you temp. At first it was a pain in the butt to do and I would forget, but now it is like second nature. I wake up and pop it in my mouth. lol But hang in there and our time will come.

No matter how many months TTC, I have a feeling it won't get any easier when AF shows. But I find peace in knowing that there is always next month, and I hope next month is your time!
