Out of all the people that replied No to our wedding, only one couple sent us a gift. I would not feel obligated to send anything in your situation.

I would either buy a gift off their registry or send a check for $75-$100.
Most people who did not come to our wedding send us either a gift or a check.

I often send a gift card for the store where they are registered. This way, the $$ I would have spent on shipping, they can put toward a gift and they can use it to buy the stuff they didn't get but want the most.
ETA - most of the people who couldn't make it to our wedding sent us something from our registry.

Depends on the situation. Based on the situation you describe, you're not obligated to send anything, though something small from the registry might be nice.
eta: just read the previous posts. I feel like we got shortchanged. No one that RSVPd "no" to our wedding sent a gift!!

if i didnt know a person well i would kind of wonder why i was invited in the first place...dont think i would send a gift in that case.
If it was a friend, like from work $100.
Just a side note, I had 75 people reply no to my wedding and i received a gift from 5

I usually send a gift if we can't go (last wedding we didn't go to for a co-worker of my husband I sent Tiffany candlesticks.) If I was going to send a check, it would probably be for $100.

I usually send something from the registry. In the unlikely even we couldn't attend a wedding for a close friend or family member, I'd give what I normally give.
Some of our Nos gave gifts, some gave money, and some gave nothing. Just like those who came to the wedding.
