Am I already out?

I got wisdom teeth pulled on Wednesday and am on anti-biotics, and prescription strength ibuprophin. I'm already coming off the ibuprophin and using tylenol most of the time (1 ibuprophen at night only), but I will be on the anti-biotics until the 26th. I will most likely O around the 27th - 29th time frame. Will being on the antibiotics hurt my chances of conceiving?

I tried looking online, but I can't really find anything that actually clarifies this for me. However, you ladies know EVERYTHING! I'm sure one of you has an answer TIA!!

I couldn't really find anything either for TTC. It is more for if your in the 2WW and safe or not for pregnancy. Hmmm.. I am really not sure. I want to say it won't effect your chances. Are you taking a pro-biotic also? The only way I think it could effect TTC would be by changing the environment of the vagina. It kills the good bacteria, which may change the acidicty or something else, and throw the balance off. The pro-biotic like acidophelus (sp?) would counter act that. Good luck You could always ask your doctor. However, you need the antibiotics for sure after oral surgery. It sucks but you have to take them.

Thanks for trying to help! I'm not taking a pro-biotic, and I am most definately taking the anti-biotic because I do not want an infection....that would make things worse!! We'll just try anyway, and with any luck I'll be able to answer that they don't affect TTC . If it doesn't happen this month, it isn't the end of the world...we're going away next month and it would be my luck to have really bad morning sickness on a plane. Thanks again!!

I'm not sure about the antibiotics, but I do know for sure that you should not be taking ibuprofin during your 2WW or when pregnant, so it's good you're already tapering that down. Good luck!

Thanks ladies!! My husband keeps shaking his head at me when I don't take the ibuprofen. He's like why are you putting yourself through the pain? I'm like hey if the tylenol makes it bearable, I'm fine with that!! I didn't even use the vicoden at all just so it wouldn't be in my system whatsoever. Oh the things we do for TTC

I had to go on an antibiotic last month and specifically asked my doc if it was ok for TTC and he said yes. You should also take a probiotic though because the antibiotics can give you a yeast infection, and if you have one you won't want to BD with DH because you could pass the yeast infection to him. It would also make BDing painful. I usually take acidopholous with antibiotics.
