AF after BC pills-- UPDATE

Hi ladies,
I've already decided to call my doc tomorrow but I just wanted to get some opinions.
I went off BC on February 22 and AF arrived on time that month. I didn't get it again until May 9th. I had spoken to my OB at that point and he said it was normal since I was just coming off the pill. The next time I got AF was the end of June...and here I am now...almost the mid/end of August and STILL NOTHING (I'm CD 55 tomorrow). I took a PG test the other day and it was negative.
Is this normal after 6 months of not being on BC? I would think that by now my body would have adjusted and I'd be getting AF on a normal cycle. I'm calling my doc tomorrow but I just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this....

UPDATE: I just wanted to update since I last posted this since I know many of you ladies are also going through long cycles after coming off BCPs. Well, after 67 looonnggg days, AF finally arrived!! And it felt like it used to...I never thought I'd be so happy to have cramps, bloating and 3-4 days of bleeding (sorry if TMI). I noticed about 12-15 days prior to AF arriving that I had sore boobs and was slightly crampy (maybe I was O'ing?). Anyway, I'm hoping that this cycle will FINALLY be a normal one for me. For all you ladies going through the same thing as me, hang in there...I know how much
it s ucks!

how long were you on BCP for?

i was on for 12 years. went off may 1. havent had a regular cycle since. hoping this one is regular.

Unfortunately, it IS possible to have very irregular cycles for months after coming off BC. I would definitely follow up with your doctor to see if they can do anything.

I went off in May...first cycle was 57 days, on CD 31 of second cycle and nothing. When I called my doctor he also said it was normal and after three CYCLES I should be regular (not 3 months).

When I went off of it, I got AF at CD 68 and than never again really. Ultimately I was diagnosed with bad PCOS, but I had no idea I had PCOS while I was on BCP (looking back pre BCP, I should have known though!). I finally had to be put on Clomid to O. It does take a while for your body to regulate after coming off of the pill, but maybe you should call your dr. to see what they say? Good luck!

Thanks ladies! I have a call into my OB...hopefully he'll get back to me today.
I was on BC for 3.5 years after having my DD. I was taking it on and off before that as well but I was always regular when I came off of it. All of this waiting is so frustrating!
