Feeling down

I just found out today that one of friends who just got married is expecting and is due in January. It really hit me hard. I am happy for her, but I can't help but feel upset that it is not me. I actually broke down into tears in my car today. I just got AF today. This was our 4th cycle trying. I know it has not been that long but for some reason this one really got to me. Just feeling blah today.

i know exactly how you feel. my best friend just got a BFP on her first month trying, and here i still am at a year. i had a good cry and then moved on to the next month. hang in there

It's ok to feel how you feel! You are happy for your friend, but wish you were in the same boat - I hope your wish comes true soon!!!

I hear you. I just started TTC and when I hear of someone who is pregnant I definitely get jealous (and an inner 'I want it now' temper-tantrum).

This is very vaild! I started crying before b/c I was cramping and thought I was getting AF. Pregnant or not we are all very sensitive. GL!

i totttalllyyyy understand!!!!! this is our 4th cycle too and I just got that email last week, the girl is due February. i was more upset than happy i think.... and for all of us next cycle!!!!!

I know how you feel and it's stinks to be there. DH and I have a friend who announced she was pregnant a few months back and I was jealous right away- it was unplanned and she was on/off with this guy. I just tried to tell myself that it will happen for us as it definitely will for you and your DH too. I think it's so hard to deal with TTC because a big part of it is out of our control. In time, our times will come too

I totally know how you feel. When TTC #1 I went to my girlfriends baby shower and everyone was like "when are you gonna have a baby??" In my head I was like "I'm f'in trying to!!!!!!" I wanted to break down and we had been TTC about 4-5 months at that point. I think if we all have it in our heads that it takes 6-9 months just to conceive, then we won't be so disappointed when we don't. But that's easier said then done.

Try to keep your chin up. It will happen.

Boy do I know how you feel. Young family friends just had a baby and it tortures me everytime I see her. I had such an "I want a baby NOW" fit last night. I even tried convincing DH I saw a faint line on the HPT this morning. We're only in cycle 2 (and AF isn't due till Friday so we're really not out YET), but I can't help feeling this way. I know there are MANY women who have waited much longer or who can't have children so I try to remind myself that there's a reason for everything and everything happens when it's supposed to.

Stressing about wont help.....enjoy the "making the baby" part and everything will fall into place

Thanks for all the responses. I feel a lot better today. I feel a lot better after a good cry. I got it all out and now I'm on to the next cycle.

I hear ya! The same exact thing happened to me last month...as far as I know, my friend was not even trying. I am thrilled for her and her DH, but I couldnt help but feel a little overwhelmed with emotions of all sorts. In the end...I really try to remain positive and pray my time will come too.
