How would you tell your DH...

that your pregnant (God willing everyone here gets pregnant)

the day you find out will you tell him in a special way or tell him right away.

I always wanted to order chinese food and make a homemade fortune cookie and it would say "your going to be a daddy" lol

Am I they only one who thinks like this?

i would like to tell him in some special way but I have a feeling that as soon as I get a "pregnant" ... he will know automatically by my goofy smile or tears.

if i can contain myself i will take him out to dinner and then toast to him, the newest daddy to be (water or soda or something, of course)

I want to tell him by getting a bib or outfit or something that says Daddy on it, but I'll only be able to do that if he's not home when I test. If he is, I will prob just scream and jump on him.

I think about this how would I tell him. I don't know. I think it depends if he is home or not. If he were home I would prob just take a test and be like it is negative :( then be like just kidding we are having a baby If he was at work I think I would go out and buy something and just leave it on the island in the kitchen like baby sneakers. Or go out to dinner and have them bring dessert with congrats daddy on a cake or something?

i'm thinking of making a shirt for DS, saying "i'm going to be a big brother".

i'll have him wear it as soon as he gets up (right after i tested positive in the am) so DH will it when he goes to DS.

I am always thinking of ways to tell DH (God willing) that he is going to be a daddy. I like the ideas of cute t shirts - either for him or me. I have checked out a bunch on cafepress.com. I'm not sure I would have the patience to wait it out though my other problem isthat DH is pretty good about when I'm due for AF and I'm not sure I would be able to keep a straight face. I thought of getting him an "expectant father book". Ill def try to do something cute but I'm not holding myself to it.

I always wanted to get a bunch of pink and blue balloons and surprise him, but we have been trying for 15 months now, so I think I would probably just end up calling him and screaming!!!

umm...DH is bartending, i POAS just like a half hour ago and got a +...i called him and told him. how romantic. lol

i did want to do something "special" - but realistically i have ZERO patience and was too excited!!!!

This time around, if I can contain myself, I will buy one of those t-shirts that says "Big Sister".

when i got pregnant with DS i tested at 6:30am and i was in so much shock i woke him up and made him come into the bathroom to see if he saw a line too he said yes and when i asked him, "don't you have anything elss to say" he said "i love you" in his defense he was 1/2 asleep

this time around i tested at 4am (hey, i had to pee!) and it took all of my self control not to wake him up and tell him. when he left for work i took a pic of the digital test and printed it out. i bought a silver frame that says "me and my big brother" and put the pic inside.

i gave him the frame that night and he was SO shocked and happy, especially since we weren't trying as long this time.

I often think about how I will tell DH and how we will then tell the rest of my family.........



I would LOOOVE to be able to contain myself to surprise my DH but I think I will end up telling him as soon as I find out! If he's home he will hear me screaming and if he's at work, a I will call him up and then he will hear me screaming! Or, maybe if I'm in TOTAL shock, I won't have to make the phone call for him to hear the screams because all of NY will hear me going insane!!!!!!

Last night I saw these really cute shirts for daddies on BRU website. I think I will buy one of these & wrap it when we get our BFP, and give it to him as a just because gift. This would only work if I get the BFP when DH is not home, and have time to go get one of them lol. Would it be bad luck to buy one & hide it somewhere? I am so superstitious.

First time around I surprised him at the airport. He was getting off the plane and I made a sign that said "WELCOME HOME DADDY" he was traveling for buisness and when he saw the sign he got a kool aid smile and took off running to me. This time around I am going to get up in the middle of the night and decorate the car with those car markers and balloons saying "YOur going to be a daddy again" and video tape his reaction.

I always wanted to get a cute little onesy of his favorite football team. That would be a fun thing for him to come home to. But i wouldn't be able to ORDER it, so if i can't find one at a store near me, I just won't be able to.

I kinda have a feeling that I'll just blurt it out tho. lol.
