This weekend?!
So DH had been away for work since June. He will come home in Sept, and we are relocating to VA. We planned to start TTC in January after our anniversary. I wanted to have a few months to get my body prepared, exercise more, eat cleaner, limit my coffee habit, start pre-natals, etc...
Well last night DH drops a bomb on me. I will be seeing him this weekend for a visit at our new place which is halfway for each of us right now. He says let's just TTC this weekend. Just once. If it happens, it happens. If not we won't TTC again until January. I just had AF so I don't even think I will be able to TTC this weekend unless for some reason I "O" really early this month, and we BD Sun right before we leave.
Part of me is like do it, we have nothing to loose. If it happens it is meant to me. The other part of me is like no way! I need time to get in better shape, get healthier etc... I am not a smoker or anything like that, but I get extra shots in my morning starbucks, don't exercise as mush as I should, and am only taking a one-a-day now.
Opinions?

Re: This weekend?!
I'm no medical doctor, but i say go for it. Are you just worried about how you didn't have time to prepare yourself healthwise? Cause really when you think about it - how many women get pregnant without trying and their babies still turn out perfect? I mean it's always healthier to be taking care of yourself first (including those very important prenatals), but I still know a lot of people who got pregnant by accident and were obviously not doing ANYTHING for themselves beforehand - and their babies are beautiful and healthy today.
Also, I heard that sperm can actually live inside you up to a week in some cases, so it still may be a possibility even if you doubt that you're Ovulating yet. My Aunt actually got pregnant by having unprotected sex the day after her period ended. I doubt she could have been ovulating that early in her cycle, but somehow it happened. So there's ALWAYS a chance.
If you and your DH think it would be good if you did get pregnant right away, then it can't hurt to try. It's probably not a very high chance you'd have of conceiving at this time, but it's clearly not impossible either
Have fun!!

Re: This weekend?!
If you get preggers, keep excercising, and just lower you caffeine intake.
I'm not even taking vitamins now. I will once I get a BFP.
I excercised through my entire pregnancy.
Go for it....you will make the changes if needed.
