Birth control question?
I am on the pill. DH and I agreed to start trying this month. However during this weekend my DH had a bit of a freak out about TTC so we decided to wait another month and just talk about everything all over again and play it by ear for potentially the following month.
So I started my pill pack on sunday (after my period week was done) and also took it monday . WELL, he came home tonight and decided he no longer wants to wait and wants me to stop taking the pill tonight
SO
1- can I just stop taking the pill?
2- do we still have a chance of getting pregnant this month?

you can always just stop taking it, that is not a problem
some people get pregnant right away after the pill and others need time to regulate their cycles again
everyone is different
if you are serious about TTC, i would go and get a check up and just make all systems are a go

We already did all the preliminary work---I went to the OB/GYN, met with a genetic counselor and had various tests completed, been taking a multi vitamin with folic acid and already cut back on the amount of high level mercury fish I consume.
I just wasnt sure if we did start this month after taking two pills we could still potentially get PG this month

I have heard mixed things..1 being that you should wait 3 months after going off the pill to TTC b/c of the hormones and stuff...but i'm not sure. Just wanted to throw that out there. If your doctor says its a go then go for it!

I have also heard mixed reviews about this in the past. My OB/GYN now told me as soon as we were ready to just go ahead, stop taking the pill and have fun. She didnt see a need to wait. She actually stated that you an be most fertile right after coming off the pill. I am sure other doctors say other things. Thank you for the help though

I actually think that the reason many docs rec that you wait a couple of cycles before TTC after coming off BC is to regulate your cycle and to be able to accurately determine your due date if you do get pregnant.
You can def get pregnant even though you took 2 BC pills this month. Think about all the women that have gotten pregnant from just forgetting to take ONE pill!

When I decided to come off it, I just stopped. Thankfully, I had absolutely no problems and my cycles were the same as they always were (heavier but not longer and there was no delay for me in getting my first AF off it) Everyone is different though and I have read that some girls have gone through long cycles before regulating again.
As for getting PG this month, I would say anything is possible.
