Diaphragm experience anyone?
DH and I decided we will be TTC officially in November. I have been on the pill for about 10 years and had so many period problems before the pill. I had unconfirmed PCOS. It was never clear if I had it or not, but my gyn seemed to think I wouldn't have a problem getting pregnant.
In any case, fast forward to now... I feel like it may be a good decision to start going off my pill sooner and just use a diaphragm, that way when we really want to start, my body had some time to regular and I will have a better idea of my cycles....... etc.
So, what do you ladies think of that plan? Has anyone ever used a diaphragm? Is it uncomfy?
ANY input on ANY of this would be helpful!

I have never used a diaphram but I do agree with the coming off BC to let your body adjust.

Diaphragm can really be easy to use but it also needs some "pre planning". You cannot just "be in the moment" with them. I would speak to your OB and see what she/he says about which option would work best for you.

Eh we have been down that road before when we first started dating! And quite frankly, neither of us are fans!!
I was hoping to seek out other options before resorting to the old fashion condom routine..... DH is not comfortable with the rhythm method, but I don't think that would be possible anyway when I first go off BCP

Re: Diaphragm experience anyone?
I agree with PP. I never used a diaphragm but I came off BCP in November knowing we wouldnt start trying until at least this summer. I wanted my body to adjust and get rid of all those hormones. I felt a lot better being off it and we just used condoms in the meantime. I'll admit, I felt like a sneaky HS kid at first when we started using them but then I got over it

Re: Diaphragm experience anyone?
My only advice is to definitely stop the pill sooner than later. My first cycle off the pill was almost 60 days and I'm in my 2nd cycle now and have no idea what's going on...I wish I would've gone off sooner so my body could have regulated before we started TTC.

Re: Diaphragm experience anyone?
I have no experience with using a diaphragm. I do think coming of BC now would be a great idea if you plan to TTC in Nov. It can't be that bad to use right? Good luck & let us know. Oh and btw DH hated to use condoms also, but was wearing the wrong size. Maybe that is the issue for you guys too. Try a larger sized condom, might help.
