Moms of newborns please come in
Does your DC cry? I really do not get this.. DD is 5wks old and just maybe lets out one or two eh eh and stops..She grunts when she is waking up and wants to eat but she never really CRYS.. I do consider myself lucky because I dont think I could take that screaming and crying but she just lays there and looks around and grunts.. anyone else?

Re: Moms of newborns please come in
Samantha was this way too, at that age. The first 3 weeks were ROUGH, but then she mellowed out. She's just about 6 months now and for the most part is this way. The only time she really cries is when she's tired, so I try not to let her get tired
I will say though that the past week, she has started throwing temper tantrums when she really wants something - which is usually me that she wants these days. It's not so much crying as it is just screaming!
But 99% of the time she's a really chill kid.

Where's the rotten tomatoes when I need them?!? Just kidding. Enjoy it. You have a laid-back baby! My nephew is the exact same way. At almost 9 months, I can count on one hand the amount of times I've really heard him cry. My daughter cried so much the first five months that my husband decided he didn't want any more children. Then he experienced my nephew and realized that there are actually babies that aren't miserable in the beginning. Enjoy!

Mattea is the same exact way! She grunts when she wants to eat but not for long at all and when she has a dirty diaper she will someties let out a whine. We take her out to dinner with us and people cannot believe how quiet and friendly she is! Consider yourself lucky to have a laid back baby!

Me calm and peaceful... I think my husband would beg to differ!
She is definately her father's child. SO laid back. She is getting a little more needy right now as she gets older. She wants more attention and she does whatever she has to do to get it. I'm supposed to be working from home today because he had a fever yesterday and I had to keep her home from daycare and when she is awake, I cannot get any work done. I had her sitting on my lap before while I was working on a spreadsheet.
For the most part, she is the happiest kid I know.

Re: Moms of newborns please come in
Ethan was the MOST mellow baby ever. Barely cried if at all .
This lated for months and even now at 17 months he's not a crier at all and still pretty mellow about things.
But the sporadic screaming he likes to do, is a totally different story. (it can make your ears bleed, I tell you!)

Same here, and I am happy to report that at 7 1/2 months, she is the exact same way. She'll whine and complain to a certain extent, but I can't count the amount of times she has REALLY cried on one hand...most of those times were due to shots...
Consider yourself lucky! She is beautiful, btw!

Re: Moms of newborns please come in
My DD is the same way a few grunts and now a few fake crys for attention. Very little real crying and that's usually after she sleeps for 7 hours at night wakes up and has towait for me to warm up the bottle.
