I've asked about this before but need more help (sleeping/diaper related)

Since 6 months, DS has been sleeping on his belly. Because of this he started to leak through his diapers at night, causing me to have to change the sheets, etc. every single day. I starting using Huggies overnights and they worked like a charm until this past week. DS has taken to sleeping in in the morning (which I don't mind!) but he is waking up wet again. What else can I do to keep him dry?

I have fibromyalgia and it is very difficult for me to change the sheets all the time.

Any advice?

Thanks! Chat Icon

DS rolls all over when he sleeps but doesn't leak through his diapers. you may need to go up a size. DS wears a size larger at night than during the day Chat Icon

I'm not sure... we do cloth so I use an insert doubler. A friend of mine would actually use a THICK sanitary pad inside of teh diaper and said it helped. It's essentially like what I do but with cloth.

If you have any lying around it wouldn't hurt to try!

My sister told me about a product called diaper doublers-you could try those. Also going up a size? My son also leaks out the front and hardly ever poops at night so I put the diaper on pulled up higher in the front and fastened pretty tight-do you do that? I woudln't if you have a messy pooper though

There was a time when DS leaked through the overnights. I used a larger size overnight with a diaper doubler......and made sure the overnight was tight enough. I found that if DH put the diaper on he would make it loose and DS always woke up wet!

I would try going up a size too.

Also, I try to keep DS in a onesie when he sleeps, if possible. I find it contains everything better. Sometimes he will leak through the diaper, but not so bad that it is all over the sheets when he has a onesie on.

And maybe invest in a few Ultimate Crib Sheets. They just go on top of the sheet, so if you have to change them, it's a LOT easier than changing the whole sheet. These are also a lifesaver when they are sick and vomiting. Chat Icon

I agree with going up a size. It would give you more coverage in front.

Also use a sheet saver. I use 2 side-by-side and where they meet I added a cloth diaper underneath. Saved me from changing sheets when DD slept in.
