Does anyone regret things they bought for baby?

I made sooo many mistakes with my registry and next time would do sooo many things different:

1. The peg perego skate carriage...although its GORGEOUS..it is way too heavy!!!!

2. Peg Perego Infant seat...also, beautiful but soooo heavy...would do the snug ride instead next time

3. I bough a very expensive cradle....for my bedroom..she hates it bc it is to big for her.....Had to go out a buy a smaller bassinet that she LOVES BTW

3. Bouncer- bought the pretty in pink bright starts one----its not cozy at all..she is not happy in it...have to buy another one this week.

I am the only one who feels this way.

Anyone else use the same things as me and how do you feel?

Yes, the Graco SweetPeace, DD HATED it!

However with that said, it has come in handy for when DD falls asleep in the car on the way home from daycare, I clip the carseat in there and she will stay sleeping - otherwise she wakes up the second I put the car seat on the floor. If I wasn't working, I would say it was a HUGE, HUGE HUGE waste of money for us.

Unfotrunately a lot of things are trial and error for babies. What may work for one child might not work for the next one. As for the peg, I have the P3 stroller and love it. I should have just gotten it from the begining with a snap and go. I went with another brand and did the travel system. That stroller broke at 16 months. I was disapointed.

I had some silly things....

1. The travel bottle warmer--never needed it

2. The microwave bottle sterilizer---we boiled our bottles

I used the bumbo seat twice. If I had to do it again, I would not get one. DS was fine hanging out on his back or tummy.

The $250 Restoration Hardware Moses Basket I bought 2 days before I went into labor because I thought I HAD to have it. It was used twice and is now in the basement.

I liked my Graco Snugride, but it wasn't a good fit for my car. I think I will give this one to my SIL who is due in December and for the next DC, get the Maxi-Cosi.

I bought a used Bugaboo. I use it only for the beach. I am so glad I didn't buy it new. I live in a 3rd floor walk up and would never be able to lug it up and down the stairs. It is kept in the trunk of my car.

TOO MANY CLOTHES!!!

Toys - especially early on - never touched a rattle. We get a lot of hand=me-down toys and grandma toys so I try not to buy - especially since he loves to walk around with a hanger or a box.

I think even the Graco Quadro stroller was too big. It was nice the few times we went out and DS was sleeping as a smaller baby but now its really big and takes up a lot of room in the car.
If I had to do it over I'd have gotten the snap-n-go stroller and then a better quality smaller stroller.

Small bottles, not really worth 2oz to wash. Plus the 4-8 ounces fit better in my hands.

=================================

I have to say I really liked the infant toddler rocker (FP) and the swing that went back/forth and side/side.

I bought the same thing with the stand and used it only a handful of times...I thought it was too narrow and always worried about him pushing his face up against the sides...What a waste!

1) Bottle Warmer

2) Bottle Sterilizer

3) Boppy Pillow

4) Bumbo Type Seat

5) Way too many clothes

6) Drying Rack

7) More than one type of bottle - wanted the Drop Ins, everyone recommend Born Free. Wasted money.....got both and all we've ever really used except for maybe a month was the Drop Ins

8) Hook on Chair (although I did return it right away)

9) The Chicco Baby Carrier that harnesses the baby to your chest.........I HATED it!!

10) The Boppy activity mat.....too boring. Ended up spending $$$$ to get one she really liked so now I have 2!

11) Rain cover for stroller

12) Size tag markers for clothes closet

13) A hundred different types of pacifiers. She ended up not even being a pacifier baby at all.

14) Too many diapers.......have tons of sizes in closet now for baby #2 down the road

15) Pacifier cleaner (see above.......didn't even use a pacifier)

16) 8 pacifier clips so they don't fall on the ground

17) White noise machine.......never used. She liked the lullaby CD.

18) Expensive bedding set.......all we use is the sheets and dust ruffle.

Oh I can go on and on...........live and learn. You think you need everything but then you find there are only a few things that you use consistently and can't live without.
