Did your DS/DD get constipated from Rice cereal?
My DS was so constipated this morning. He has never been before. I just started cereal three days ago. I also bought a box of Oatmeal, so I think I may try that instead.

when we started cereal..the doc asked if DS went everyday and when i said no she said to skip rice and go right to oatmeal b/c the rice will constipate him.

We stopped rice immediately with DD, because she fot so constipated and had such a hard time going. Dr said it is common and to just do oatmeal.

Yeah, my DS doesn't usually go everyday either, but has never been constipated. I will try oatmeal instead. It was so sad to see him in pain today.

Yes - and it bothered his stomach so much. We never used it again. We stuck with Barley and Oatmeal - Barley being the best for his constipation issue

rice cereal created such digestive issues... i only give oatmeal now... and usualy the digestive aid one by beechnut

We dont use the rice anymore due to this. I found the oatmeal helps her go.

Both my DC got constipated with rice ceral and bananas. Just had an episode this week with my 7 month old DD being very impacted from rice ceral and bananas stage 1.

Not so much for cereal as it was when he had rice and bananas.
Talk to your ped - I was unaware the DS was actually constipated b/c he did have pellet poops. Doc said to give Benefiber.

Yes. Rice cereal can be very binding. I stopped using this a while ago b/c it made DS constipated a lot. When DS is constipated, I give him prunes. You may want to ask your pediatrician about that.
