While I understand the whole age thing (trust me, I get it, as I'm an "older" mom and DH is an "older dad), this could have happened no matter what her age. I could understand the controversal aspect of it, if she died from an age related issue, but she didn't.
ETA: This only made it to the news BECAUSE of her age. Had she been a 29 year old woman who had twins via IVF and died 2 years later due to a tumor, it would hardly be newsworthy, JMO

I agree with you. Being a 'young' mother does not make you invincible. I just happened to see the article a little while after reading the other post so I was just throwing it out there.
Do I agree with a 66 year old undergoing IVF to conceive? Well, I honestly don't think it is my place to judge. Generally, I don't think it's a great idea, but then again, I don't know the whole story. If she wants children at that age to chase after, more power to her.
