Choosing pictures for frames
Anyone else make this harder on themselves than they need to?
I have some frames I want to hang in the spare room of places we've been. Since I'm not a big fan of color pictures in a collage, I'm making myself crazy! Since I'm trying to do a picture wall! And of course all the frames have to be the same!
Between that and the B/W pics I hung in the living room...I'm about to loose my mind trying to figure out where to hang them once I finally decide on a picture.
DH thinks I'm nuts...and I'm starting to agree
Just wondering if anyone is as anal as me when it comes to choosing/hanging pictures.

Re: Choosing pictures for frames
Rather than waiting for the PERFECT picture to put in a frame, I choose really good ones and switch when another really good one comes. Any picture is better than the cheesy ones that come with the frames. And at 10cents a picture, I print to my hearts content. I hope that makes sense.

I've seen some of your pictures....and with your talent it doesn't surprise me at all that your having such a problem..... I have the opposite problem, I can't find a pic that deserves to be framed....

Thank you...I just need to get over the issue I have with mixing color, b/w & sepia. Maybe all not in the same frame but at least on the same wall I just think it looks too busy. I'm worried about this and meanwhile they'll be hung in a spare room that not many people will see anyway!

BTW, have you tried Picasa? If you're frustrated with the whole b&w thing, you can easily make your color pix b/w. So easy.

Yes...I LOVE Picasa. See that's my problem...I'll change a picture to b/w or sepia and don't like it as much as I do in color.
I put to much thought into these things. I just need to pick something and frame it.

Re: Choosing pictures for frames
Try tweaking the picture with the shadows and highlights sliders and you'll get more definition. Then maaybe add a glow. I know for sepia, I have to add more shadows to it.

This is what I framed so far for the living room: Window from Sands Point Preserve
Central Park Fountain
I gave up on the spare room for now
