Some progress for us!! Total bragging post! Even after lastnight bath adventure.
DS brought me one of his book for me to read to him. Now, I know that sounds like "uh OK, what's the big deal". BUT IT IS A BIG DEAL! DS has NEVER in his 2 years of age, asked us to read a book for him. I was  and so happy to obliged!
The psychologist had told us that it would be normal for him not to "share" with us or bring toys to us for us to be involved in his plays. But for the past 2 months he has brought us toys for us to help him play with them. The difference from the book is that he needed help to play with the toys. He does not need help with the books. I was in shock. A good shock!
Then I told him we needed to clean his ears. I tried giving him a q-tip and told him "you do". He brought the q-tip to his ear. I was amazed!
I know I know... it's hard for most people to understand. But for us it's AMAZING! DS does not do ANY imitation. He has no concept of GMI.
Anyway, I just wanted to share. Can you tell how EXCITED I am.

I wish I could take the credit but I have to say it's the TREMENDOUS amount of therapies he is getting per week, DH who works with him on the weekends and me watching him during the weeks. But thank you! It's almost a 24/7 job. It's sometimes ungrateful, we never know if he will get it or not. But the little progresses allow DH and I to keep doing it. It does require so much work though. It's hard not to lose yourself because we are so "dedicated" to helping him.
