Do you want to know? With poll

Just for fun...

Once you get your BFP, do you want to know the sex of your baby when it comes time for that sono or do you want to be surprised at time of delivery??

I chose NO , but we will see what happens when the time comes because I am a planner!!! Have a little OCD with things being perfect - such as the nursery, but as of now the plan is not to find out when the time comes!

I voted no but in the beginning when DH and I started talking about this, I always wanted to know but I gave in on the first and told him we won't find out...but we will on our 2nd!

I've never found out. It's a wonderful surprise and I just love getting all the news at once. Boy/Girl, X pounds, X inches, etc...

Side note: I got really bummed and called our friends "jerks" for telling us that they are having a girl when DH told me the news. He looked at me weird and asked how they were jerks. I told him that just because they wanted to spoil the fun didn't mean I wanted to know and that I was happy to wait.

I think when the time comes I will have a hard time deciding!!! lol I mean, everyone that I know who has been Team Green has said that it's the BEST thing to hear in the delivery room "It's a ..." - that it's such a wonderful thing to experience and to look forward to. And I think I would love to have that. HOWEVER, I think it would drive me crazy not knowing, lol! I love surprises, but I love to plan and I hate yellow and green, lol. So, who knows.

IFFFFFF we have twins (my mom is a fraternal twin), I think then I would DEFINITELY want to know the sexes.

I am a PLANNER - We talked about even toying with the 'intelligender' just for fun before the 20 week sono

but my friend did the intelligender twice and it said boy both times...and she had a girl! But it would still be fun to do it just to see

We are going to find out, and keep it a secret this time around! I think it will be fun to surprise the family when the baby comes, but I'm to big a planner to not know myself lol

Nope. I think there's so much more joy in the surprise. Plus I don't want all pink or all blue stuff so not knowing helps with getting only neutral stuff.

Unfortunately I already know I will have a C-section with general anesthesia so DH and I are trying to find another way for us to both find out at the delivery instead of him finding out while I'm out and me not being able to see his face and share that emotion with him. I think we'll just have the doc tell us both right before they put me under.

Haven't decided yet. I have a DC already and it would be so great to be suprised, but I would love to know if I am going to have them share a room, or have to paint a different room blue/pink

I kinds of feel like if i am going to go through all of that pain, I'd like a nice little suprise at the end!

I am a planner too - but I am not even sure!

And like someone else said - there is a chance it'll be wrong!

Yes, even though I will start off will all intentions of not wanting to know, I just can't take the suspense, and plus I need to know what clothes I need or can get rid of since we have one DC.

I definitely will want to find out at the soonest sonogram they can give me even the slightest guess!!

I have to mentally prepare myself for these things........and I also want the nursery to be very gender oriented... If it's a girl, I don't want yellow or green... I want PINK!

oh definitely!! The other night DH asked me if I'd want to wait and I was like "Are you kidding me?" I'll certainly want to know as soon as humanly possible. I think it'll be hard enough even just waiting those 3 months for the sono! lol.

I definitely want to plan everything in advance. Have his/her name picked out as well as clothes ready and a nursery. There's so much to prepare. I don't want to just have everything yellow for either gender.

We waited with our first, so we will wait with the second also. It was fun to spend the 9 months imagining what the baby would be like and it was a nice surprise!

(and it really was a surprise-we were so sure DD was a boy-but she wasn't!)

I just love the idea of DH getting to tell everyone what sex it is after I deliver. I know it rarely ever happens like in the movies, but I still think it's fun to surprise everyone not just ourselves. I hope we have the willpower to wait!!
