really nervous

Hi everyone , I really need some advice ..my husband and I just started to TTC, this was our first month, I started my last period on May 31st it last for 5 days then I counted the days till my ovulation checking CM and all of that.. well about 2 weeks ago i started getting really sick all the time in the morning while I was cooking certain foods, then as strangely as it came it went away, I kinda chalked it up to a virus or something. I started to get breast tenderness and cramping all the signs of my period. Well my period never came , now I am late , my cycles are normally regular , I have taken 2 pregnancy tests and they all came back negative , I keep getting sharp pains , the breast tenderness is gone and I am totally confused, Is this normal? what could it be? I just keep waiting , If I am not pregnant I just want to get my period so I can try again my other fear is that it is a ectopic preganacy, Am I just being silly ? I am really starting to get nervous, Sorry it is so long any advice would be helpful TIA

Re: really nervous

I wouldn't worry yet bc an ectopic pregnancy still gives off the same hormones that an intrauterine pregnancy gives off to give you a BFP. You would still get a BFP if it was ectopic.. but be aware if you have SHARP pains in your lower abdomen (either sign) - or if you have VERY heavy bleeding.. thats something to call your OB/GYN ASAP for...

ETA: either *side*

Re: really nervous

Don't be nervous-this is actually normal. Did you do a lot of reading prior to TTC about symptoms and such? It is actually pretty common (happened to me in my first 2WW) to feel every symptom in the book during your first 2WW because you don't know what to expect and you are getting in tune with your body. How late are you? If you are less than 1 week late, test again at one week. I would call your OB if you are concerned, because they can send you for a beta to see what is up. If you are just off of BC, your cycles might be screwed up as well. As for etopic pregnancies, from what I read, you would still get a BFP, but sharp pains are only one symptom. I wouldn't worry-I think I wrote the same post when I was trying for the first month! Good luck with everything! Sending babydust and hoping you get your BFP! I am also late for AF and have regular 26-28 day cycles. I am now 3 days late. So far 2 neg pregnancy tests. I also had the same symptoms as you. I am going to retest in a week. My feelings are AF will eventually come if she is meant to be. AF just does not stop out of nowhere unless I am pregnant. I have been very very stressed lately.

Are you sure you O'd? I have had some abnormally long months where I O'd later than I thought I would (throws off the anticipated date of AF arrival).

Don't worry I am sure you will get AF. It does not sound like you have an ectopic pregnancy- b.c you should have a BFP with that. It is very common your first few months trying to stress your self out to the point that we delay our cycle- which will allow you to still get the AF feeling a bit prior to her actually arriving. Also after you know the symptoms for pregnancy - we often create these symptoms in our mind. I did my first 2 months in a row. Now after ttc for a few months...i realized a lot of my symptoms i guess i have always had before AF arrives.

My cycle has always been 28 days...but my first 2 months were 32 and then 45 days. This was all caused by self. I also google up a storm ectopic and everything else possible too. I think us women tend to be more aware of our bodies when trying and things that we usually never notice - we now do.

Goodluck and I hope one way or another you get an answer soon.

Lot's of babydust. Hope u get a BFP soon!
