Cervical position

So I've been trying to monitor cervical position in addition to everything else and I've noticed its much softer earlier in the day and then gets firmer by the evening. Does that mean we should BD in the morning or does it not matter? It just wont' do what it's supposed to! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Cervical position

i'll be honest, i never noticed this!

i try and pay more attention to where my cervix is than what it feels like. the higher it is, and harder to reach, the closer to ovulation i am. and as soon as i O it drops WAY down low and is much easier to reach.

it is true that it will feel softer closer to O time and very smooth and hard afterwards, but i suppose even that can very day to day.

Re: Cervical position

Usually in the shower I just wash my hands really well and stick a finger up there and feel around towards the back. It feels kind of cone shaped and they say that it feels hard (like the tip of your nose), low (easy to reach), and closed (no opening at the tip) right before and after AF. Closer to ovulation, it should feel soft (like your lips), high (harder to reach or can't reach it at all), and be open.

My issue is that it doesn't do that and always seems hard at night and soft in the afternoon. Oh well. Stupid body.
