Wedding Album
As many of you ladies already know, I hate my MIL. She has yet to pick her pictures for her parent album and our 1 year anniversary is in 2 weeks. I'm annoyed beyond belief. She still has the proofs, too.
Is it bad form to just take the proofs back from her and pick for her so I can get my album and the other parent albums (FIL's and my parents)?

If would totally take them back from her. If she hasn't picked her pix yet, she's not too anxious to get her album. I might even lie and tell her that you have a deadline and you MUST get them in ASAP.

Either tell her that you have a deadline, or just ask for the proofs back and pick her album pictures for her. Good luck!

definitely get the pictures back. at least take the pictures so you can make your albums and parents. if she doesn't want you to pick, then let her do after!

We didn't my MIL an option. All of our proofs were on disks and we made her a mypublisher album and gave it to her for Christmas.
If she doesn't pick them ASAP, get the proofs back and just choose for her.

I would give her a deadline of about a day and if she doesnt have them picked out you will pick them for her and take the proofs back.
I would have no problem driving right over to my MIL and taking them back.

I'm going to tell DH to pick them up from her tomorrow. She and I have not been on speaking terms for 5 months, so I'll have him tell her that if she doesn't pick them by tonight, he'll pick for her.

Definitely tell her that she has until "whenever" and then take them back whether or not she has picked. Then you and DH can pick for her. If you have given her more than enough time then I think it's fair to say that it's just not that important to her and you are very much justified in making the decision for her.

I would totally take them back and actually double check with your photog mine (Duet) had a clause in the contract that if you didnt order within a year, you had to pay the current years prices. Even if that isnt the case with your photog I would tell her that it is. Good luck!
