Why don't these FUCK1NG drunk drivers ever die? That's what I want to know. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

What a shameful thing to say.
Regardless of whether you knew the person who died or not -

I don't feel ashamed. And nothing will ever change my mind.

Nor will any of these posts change mine. I found what you said to be an uninformed and meaningless thing to say.

You clearly do not have a working understanding of addiction. So to shoot off that you don't know why the "f'n drunk driver never dies"... well, IMO, that was just pointless posting.

Please don't take this as a defense of drunk driving. It isn't... it was my attempt to see if anyone could jump off the useless "stupid azz drunk" bandwagon. That's all there seems to be on this site. It seems like such a waste of time to me.

There are people on all sides of this issue that have intelligent things to say.

But I have already experienced that this isn't a forum for open conversation -But sometimes - something just grabs me, and I just can't tolerate what I read.

I have to agree here. If lives were to be taken in a DD accident it should be the DRIVER that dies, not innocent people. You want to make the mistake, then you should have to live with the results. Why does someone else have to lose their life and their family have to suffer the consequences. the drunk driver should have to pay. serving a few years in jail and having to remember what he did, is not enough for meChat Icon

I actually dated an alcoholic/drug addict for years. And during the time that I loved him, and helped and supported him while he battled the disease, but had he ever had a dd accident, and *I* could choose who's life to save, I wouldn't have picked his. you do the crime you do the time. Why should other people have to pay for your mistake?

Never assume what people do and do not know about on here, or what people's experiences are.

ETA - I do, however, assume people do no read everything before they throw comments around, because I explained that question more thoroughly, yet this keeps being quoted as if it was the only thing I said about this.

I'm not sure why this question is even being asked. No one is saying they'd choose a drunk driver's life over the innocent victim's life. My point was to be angry that the drunk did not die, is disgusting to me.

No one should have to pay for someone else's mistake - but recognize it for what it was - a very stupid, very horrible, very heartwrenching ACCIDENT/MISTAKE based on a very, very wrong decision that someone was "fine" to drive.

I took her Chat Icon face to mean she was angry that the drunk diver did not die. Liza has already explained that she wasn't saying that.

And I clarified that that was NOT what I said. I don't wish death on anyone. I question the universe why others suffer for people's mistakes.

Which you wrote here, btw - thanks!!!
