My uncle was carjacked in Virginia yesterday - UPDATE 6/13
I don't know much except that they beat him up very badly in his face. My aunt flew down there today and said his face is swollen 3 times the size. They have to do 8 hours of reconstructive surgery tomorrow to install plates in his face.
I'm so upset I don't know what to do with myself. He is 75 years old, but he is in good shape so hopefully he can stand the surgery.
They won't know about eye or brain damage until the swelling goes down after the surgery.
I so want to kill whoever did this to him.
UPDATE: Thanks everyone for your prayers...they worked. My uncle had surgery on Wednesday and is on his way to recovering. He may still lose his left eye but there doesn't seem to be any evidence of brain damage which was the most important thing.
We finally got a bit more information. He wasn't car jacked but followed from a 7-Eleven to his motel where he was attacked. Someone at the hotel found him and called the ambulance. They beat him, stole his wallet, cross, and car.
We think it may have been a gang initiation but 2 girls were caught driving his car and they turned in the third person so it seems that they have all been arrested which is a good thing.

My mom is on her way to see him now and hopefully get more of the what happened.

I have such a range of emotions when I read this. Anger because how could someone do that to a 75 year old. But mostly, I want to send some prayers to your uncle. I hope he is OK.

I agree, how terrible....there is a special place in hell for people who hurt the elderly, children or pets....I hope the person who did this is caught and punished
