Helpful Article on Choosing Infant Formula

I don't understand why Nursery Water would contain fluoride when it is not recommended for infants? 
(We use filtered Brita water)

Probable so they can raise the price and make more cash on it. I see tons of moms at BRUs buying that water.. I was one of them who didnt know any better, until I read on this site.

Yeah, Nursery Water is a marketing ploy. If you look up your city's water you'll see the flouride level. Using that water filitered by Brita or another filtration system is the safest way to go and those filters leave the flouride in the water.

we've always used tap. I drink tap. I never knew why people would buy nursery water. What a waste

and also I am peeved with Enfamil about not updating their cans. When i was BFing, we supplemented with RTF, never liked the cans but thought if they post a real danger, it wouldn't be allowed to be used, maybe I am too naive.
Now we use powder, the formula are still in those darn tin cans

I know - I use the powder for this reason as well. I keep a few cans of RTF on hand for an emergency only...

This is so confusing, they can really make parents sick with fear on these things. One minute there is rocket fuel in powdered formula, the next it's BPA in liquid RTF. We use Similiac RTF in the plastic bottles, so of course now it's concerning me.

I had called Similac when the Perchlorate issue came about. I asked about the RTF (I was using powder with bottled water, boiled).
I am pretty sure htey told me that the water they use for the RTF they filter using reverse osmosis, which seems to be what this article recommends for water safety. So I had switched to the RTF.
I plan on calling Similac again but I am pretty sure this is what they told me, so I felt the RTF was safer than the bottled water....so thats what I have been using.
Plus the RTF is not in BPA containers, it is in containers labeled #2 HDPE, which is recyclable and not BPA I believe.

It's ridiculous and should be taken off the market! I am so anti Nursery Water.
