Im exhausted-what did you do when DC couldnt put pacifier back in mouth at night
Wow, my new nanny got my baby addicted to the pacifer, she is teething really bad and it brings her comfort during the day... Well, nights are Horrible!!!! She wakes every hour almost screaming for it to go back in her mouth, she doesnt know how to do it , she is 6 months... I have no idea what to do... Any tips?

yes that was torture....i think the sleep deprivation was worse during teething/needing the paci than in the beginning with the newborn feedings....my dd woke up every hr on the hr for about a month straight.....honestly i just went in every time and put the paci back into her mouth....i tried to take a nap during the day with her but that didnt work out well so i was majorly slepp deprived for a month or so....she got her first two teeth at 7mos and those wakings stopped cold turkey
no advice just lots of hugs

Try putting a bunch of pacifiers in her crib. Eventually she will be able to grab and put them back into her mouth. Try placing it in her hand when you do go in and see if she'll put it in her mouth herself. Eventually they do get it. We used to have like ten of them in there surrounding her so she could just grab it. Eventually it worked.

oh this was the worst! i had to go in a million times. i think i posted a similar question back then too! DD is 23 months and yes, still uses the paci but ONLY ONLY in her crib. i attribute it to her amazing sleeping though. once she could find it herself her sleeping became awesome and still is-so thats why i am in no rush to get rid of it. SO i look at it like it was a few bad weeks of going in there but paid off later.
ETA that i have/had 3-4 paci's in there which helps!
