It's not that the masks don't do ANYTHING - it's that they don't do EVERYTHING. They do serve a purpose. What they don't do is prevent someone from picking up the virus with their hands, not washing their hands, and then touching their face/mouth with their hands...

Right but eventually that mask has to come off... (unless you want to sleep with it, shower with it, have sex with it,  ) and if you haven't washed your hands you will still spread the virus.
Bottom line- wash your hands!

I was food shopping at S&S yesterday in Holbrook and a guy in their "customer" had a mask and gloves on...

I was just going to say this. The masks are effective if the sick people wear them BUT if you wear one and think the germs can't get in you are wrong -- they can.

I find that really sad actually. This whole thing is getting out of control and instead of taking the time to educate themselves, people panic. I can't wait for the media to find something else to cover.

tens of thousands die from the regular flu every year people. One or two people died in NY from it so far. And a Pandemic just mean the WHO has begun tracking it and it now can be located in several countires at the same time. Relax!!!
