constipation sorry tmi
does anyone have any solutions for constipation? Honestly i dont think i have gone since last week and i know that isnt healthy. i dont have the "urge to go" but i do have a stomach ache. Any hellp?

Did you try colace? That and lots of bowls of shredded wheat cereal, raisin bran, veggies, and salads worked for me! Talk to your OB and see what you can take to get things moving...

call your dr i hadnt gone in 4days and ended up in the hostpial from dehydration.
my dr told me to take colace it really helped, i stopped taking it this week and now its day 3 of me not going to the bathroom

Colace, prune juice and/or prunes. Worked miracles for me - my Dr. was on the verge of having me admitted as he could feel how backed up I was at a regular visit.
Also, drink lots and lots of water...

I too am dealing with the same thing. I was also taking Zofran for my morning sickness and that was a major side effect. I take Benefiber everyday and colace every few days. I once wen 13 days without going. It was the most uncomfortable feeling in the world. I have also found that corn has made me go more often and I eat prunes a few times a week. The Benefiber has helped me the most so far.I suffer from IBS, so constipation isn't new for me, but this has been the worst I have ever had. Hope it doesn't last too long.

I dealt with this and then I started eating mini wheats everyday and that definately helped to regulate everything !( they are high in fiber)

I agree with this poster. I had Zofran and the constipation from that was the absolute worst that I have ever experienced (and I had suffered from constipation my whole life). Colace and benefiber did absolutely nothing for me.
To answer your question I found that experimenting with all of the different suggestions really made it so that you find at least one of the things that works and then stick with it. Like for me it didn't matter how much fiber cereal I ate, there would be nothing BUT I found that prunes helped so I made sure to stick with that. Good Luck and feel better.

I have the same problem, it is so awful. I have been taking colace every other day and metamucil, as my doctor recommended. It's been somewhat helping.

Prunes and Salads worked wonders for me!
I would have prunes in the morning with breakfast and a salad for lunch.
I tried metamucil but it made me feel more bloated.

I have used colace, but for the most part I keep myself moving with fiber cereal, high-fiber granola bars and dried fruit.

I am dealing with this too...I am MISERABLE. So uncomfortable all the time. I take FIBER CHOICE every day (that really helped when pregnant with DS), stool softeners and try to eat stuff that would help me go..but NOTHING WORKS.
