I watched...but could care less who won.
BUT the best line of the season was when Joan said about Annie "when she gets a facelift she's going to need 2 surgeons"

Neither Joan nor Annie are without fault. Sometimes Joan's comments were a bit off putting and walking off the show wasn't her greatest moment either. Melissa is a complete nutcase.
However, I could NOT STAND Annie. She was so FAKE. She was completly two faced and that was despicable. At least Joan was honest, if slightly out of line.
Bottom line, when it came to the final challenge, Joan outshone Annie in 3 out of 5 areas. For Annie, it was always about money and about winning.
ITA.
ALso remember we are seeing the heavily edited version of what really happened on this show. Annie Duke is a narcissistic bytch and no amount of editing hid that.

I am personally glad that Joan won but because of my personal take on how to do business with others.
Did Annie raise more money? Yes
Did Annie pay hardcore? Yes
Was Annie cutthroat? You bet
Was Annie just as personal with Joan as Joan was to Annie? Absolutely!
She did not "take it" for weeks in the board room. The woman lied to Joan and Melissa at a private dinner. That's what started it all. Joan callled her on it. Annie tried to downplay it. She lied! She called it "business". Well, she called Joan a cancer and she wanted her to die. And the big difference is that she did it AGAIN behind everybody's back. At least Joan was true to her feelings. She was very into *I, I, I, I...*. Even when she praised her team it was all about her. So much for business and humility. It will get you so far in real life business. She treats everybody like $hit! Even her friends. She is overbearing and nasty if she does not get what she wants. If Annie had done what Natalie did (called a competitor to beat Annie), she would have called herself BRILLIANT.
In the end, I think Annie PLAYED a brilliant game. She was just too hardcore and cutthroat and this is why Joan won.

Well said...I was violent towards Annie at the end. She was SO fake and she was more angry that Joan didn't like her and couldn't "play" her and it drove her to obsession at the end. I was SO happy when Tom Green called her on it in the end. I hope Brande FINALLY realized what a skanky beeyotch she truly was...
Donald is a douche, but we have known that for years. The show was frustrating but entertaining and I actually was very please with the results...
And that shot of Annie THINKING she won for a second is freakin' TELEVISION GOLD....I actually rewound it like 3 times just to rewatch it on my DVR...PRICELESS MOMENT!

I wasn't a fan of either Joan or Annie, but I think the lesser of the two evils was Annie, and Annie DEFINITELY deserved to win over Joan. I do also have to say, I wasn't surprised AT ALL that Donald chose Joan.
This show made me lose what little respect I had for Joan Rivers. I think she made herself look absolutely despicable on this show (as did Melissa), I couldn't believe the things she said throughout the season. And I'm sorry, but you don't deserve to win just because you're old (almost everyone mentioned her stamina). Annie was no angel herself, but she never went as low as Joan did and she played the game really really well.
I was pretty disappointed in the outcome, but like I said, it's what I predicted would happen. Oh well.

The whole hatred seemed strange because it started over something behind the scenes. Annie telling Joan she though Brande was a moron over dinner ! Then becoming her new BFF.
Annie spoke about people behind their backs and would do anything to win. Joan was straight forward...aways told Clint to his face that she didn't like him. I respect that.
I think Joan had the better party and I agreed with Piers.....she won 3 out of 5 of the criteria.
