Can DS have Honey Nut Cheerios?

I was eating them this morning and he tried them and liked them. I forgot about the whole honey thing.

I gave to my dd. I dont think the amt of honey in them is going to harm them . I also have given her honey gram crackers..

You know what's funny? I didn't think about the honey thing, but I thought about the nut.

I guess if he liked them, go for it! I doubt either ingredient is that much.

I give them to cadi. As long as there is no reaction there should be a problem. Cadi loves them

i got the green light on honey and nuts at 1 year. my ds loves a little honey on his cream cheese sandwich, sounds odd i know but yummy. go for it and just watch out for any reaction.

Thanks everyone! he only had a few bites but I got nervous b/c I forgot about the whole honey rule. I thought they couldnt have it until after 3.

I am so stupid-even though is says "honey" and "nut" in the name I never thought twice about it. I've been giving them to her since she was 7 months. Wow-thank goodness no allergies

Todd Jr will be 1 May 5th and he's been eating them since he was 6 months old.

I did the same thing! I was so careful to keep her from eating anything with nuts meanwhile I am feeding her hony NUT cheerios

DS is allergic to peanuts and eats Honey Nut Cheerios with no problem.

Honey is ok after 1 year old. Before that (even when it in the cereal), it is VERY dangerous.

Makes you feel like mother of the year...I've won a few of those awards myself...even got one today. Left his bottle at home so sippy cup all day it is! Oops

I just got back from pediatrician for Thomas' two year well visit. I asked her about honey, peanuts (peanut butter) and fish and shellfish. She said we can try anything with him now, but to make sure the foods that are highly alleric, peanuts and shellfish, are given during the day, when they can be watched for reaction and no other new foods are introduced at the same time.

Honey I believe is OK after one year because of fear of boutulism, but I waited until now two ask and try it.
