ok...I just caught someone trying to wire money from my checking account!
so sunday night someone logged into my bank account online and transfer money between my accounts
at the time I didn't think much of it- I thought it must be a mistake on the banks end
today- I got an alert from the bank about an authorization code
I had no clue what that was
I called- and I was told someone was trying to transfer money from my account
I raced to the bank and we changed and canceled EVERYTHING
while we were doing that- they transfer money again from savings to checking...
then I got a call from early fraud warning- and she blocked all wire transfers...I told her the odds of me doing a transfer from my account are slim and if I was going to do one it would be on my business account anyway
so freaking scary....

they have the names of the accounts- so I hope something comes of that
here is the thing that is freaking me out
my main laptop was broken- so I took it to best buy to be fixed
I started using my second laptop
I have been having internet issues since last week- so I have been switching back and forth- neither laptop is perfect yet
I figured it had to be my second laptop- so I have been running scans and NOTHING
I have this weird feeling that they stole the passwords off my laptop at best buy
(the guy made a comment about the amount of money and it stuck with me)
this whole thing is freaking me out big time

he was talking about what he had in the bank and it was an eye popping number
it was a conversation between him and coworker

Since I'm always using my credit cards and paypal, my similar experiences all had to do with fraudulent charges....
one morning visa called me and asked if I bought $200 of gas in florida that morning
another morning paypal noified me that someone just purchased about 15k in electronics 
definitely invest in fraud protection... the $ are worth the peace of mind....

I was just reading your other thread about the laptop and as soon as I read this the first thing that went through my mind was the people at Best Buy.

DH's CC once went missing at Best Buy between his hands and the cashier's.... things that make you go 'hmmm'... we canceled it as soon as we got to the car of course...
i'm glad you caught that! I would change all your online passwords and logins

Something similiar happened to me the day after I made a large deposit into my checking account. Luckily I logged into my account and was able to catch the transactions the day of. The bank took care of everything but, I make it a point to check my accounts at least 3 -4 times a week just to be safe. It is scary!!
