does anyone else feel like they call their dr wayyy too much lol!
i called for spotting early on (5 weeks), i called when i had cramping, i called to see what allergy meds i could take, i called to get more info on my ultrascreen results, i called to make arrangements for a genetic ultrasound. im only 16w4d and i feel like i call them all the time!
now im having these shooting back pains and DH wants me to call them again. should i? from what i read this is common and theres really nothing the dr can do about it. but he wants me to tell them in case its something else. would you call?

i feel like i do recently. i called like 4 or 5 times and i feel like such a nag but it was important! and one of the calls could've been completely avoided if my dr would've addressed my issue when i went and saw him

here's my theory on the doc.....
we pay HOW MUCH for insurance????? CALL THEM.
if the pain is fleeting, comes and goes, not really PAINFUL or SHOOTING or horrible...it's likely 'growing' pains....
BUT - if the pain is bad enough for you to POST about it, consistent, worry about it, want to take MEDS to make it go away....CALL.
i would rather be the 'girl who calls too much' than the 'girl who should've called and didn't'.

My thoughts exactly...no one can get annoyed at you or bothered about you wanting to make sure you do everything, or know everything, possible for the baby you are carrying!!!!
I just called mine before - DH was harping on me to call them about this whole swine flu thing since I work in NYC...I just wish the dr. would've told me to work from home for a few days!!!!

i totally agree with jess about calling... I have called 3 times in the middle of the night for things that were nothing.. the last time i called i just had this feeling something wasnt right.. GOOD THING I CALLED! i was 25 weeks and contracting every 2 min. I didnt even know i was contracting i thought i was the baby doing summer salts... so my advice is like jess said.. youd rather be the girl that called for no reason then not calling and having it be something serious!.. THATS WHAT THEY ARE THERE FOR!!!!!
my drs. are in the hospital literally 20 hours a day if not more... they are always there so most likely you arent bothering them!
