Anyone use drop-in bottles?

I feel like I am CONSTANTLY washing bottles. I would like to switch to drop in bottles and buy a ton of nipples for convenience.

Which drop in bottle do you use?

How do you heat up the milk before feeding your DC?

Re: Anyone use drop-in bottles?

I use the playtex drop ins and I love them. I usually feed her with room temperature water and powder formula. Sometimes if I need to make it a bit warmer, I will put warm water into a cup and drop the bottle into the warm water (with the top cover over the nipple) and it heats the bag up. Squeezing all the air out of the bottles was the only thing that helped my DD with all her gas pains in the beginning.

YES...I had it with cleaning Dr. Brown's bottles. I got the Playtex Nurser drop-ins..Premiem..they have the nipple that resembles a breast so you can go from bottle to breast with no "confusion".

FYI - the target brand liners are cheaper and just as good.

I warm up water in the microwave in a mug, and then out the bottle in that to warm it..it's fast and easy.

Do you use pumped breastmilk? How do you transfer the milk to the bags or do you pump/freeze directly into the drop in bags?

Sorry for so many questions.

Yes, I use pumped milk. I store the milk in the Lansinoh BM storage bottles...when I'm ready to feed I just pour it in the bottle and warm it. I also keep a couple bottles ready to go in the fridge.

Do you freeze in these Lansinoh bottles?

I just started freezing milk in the Lansinoh bags.

So you heat up the bottle WITH the milk in the drop in bag?

I have the Avent IQ bottle warmer. I hope I can still use it. I really love the idea of these drop ins!!

If you're using the Playtex drop-ins and pump milk, these helped a lot:

Playtex Breastmilk Storage Kit

For extra milk that I wanted to use within a few days, I pumped directly into the liners and kept them in the fridge. When it was time for DS to feed, I popped the liner into the holder. It works with most breast pumps...just check your model! Otherwise, I used to freeze in Lansinoh bags.

I use Playtex Drop Ins and LOVE them. So easy to clean. To warm the formula I just drop the bottle in a hot mug of water. It heats up pretty fast. Chat Icon
