check out my work in progress!! UPDATE at the bottom
So since dh and i live in a tiny one bedroom apt. and will be here at least till sept. we decided to redo our room and make a "crevis" for the baby!!!
heres the before..
 
heres where we are today... almost done with the painting! we decided on a darker off white (which looks like reg. white in pics with the green accent wall.) i feel likes its such a fresh change

thanks so much... i actually took that green from the sheets were going to put on the bed! it was so pretty thought it would go perfect!

we did it together he did most of it...and he hates to paint.. but my back was starting to kill me!

i used behr semi gloss... thats the only paint i like to be honest. i tried valspar from lowes and hated the way it went on just personal opinion. and i think behr is a little cheaper. I took a pillow case to the paint dept. and they were able to match it for us. and its PERFECT! it dried with in 2 hours so i was able to get the whole room 2 coats done in one day!
ETA: i def. suggest semi gloss because its a little shinnier (cant spell for the life of me) and plus its easier to clean if something gets on it. and flat just looks plain ol BLAH!

Ya i hear ya... I wanted semi gloss but DH said no its for bathrooms, trim kitchen... blah blah blah... we got a flat that has something in it that makes it a lil easier to clean too.... we also got behrs.... but they didnt have the low voc.... so.... did u get low voc or regular?

low chemical fumes or sumtin like that... ppl say thats what u should use when preggo... but as long as area is well ventilated.. its fine.... im doing it tomorrow and i have the regular paint

and our nursery room has slanted walls in there as well!

okay good... neway ... it looks good so far and the room in sure will look a lot brighter and bigger!!! Cant wait to see the progress!!

Your color looks almost exactly like mine - is it Desert Cactus? What a cute idea!
I really didn't notice the fumes at all...and Behr's is rated very highly by consumer reports, I hear.

we got the nursery cleared out today, too... hopefully we can assemble the dresser one night this week. Then it's just waiting for the crib to come in!

:::UPDATE:::
so were just about finished!! we will be done hopefully soon! just need to add the bassinet changing table and my glider! Im so happy with the outcome i love our new bedding set and the new colors! its perfect for what we need for the first few months!

Changing table will be going infront of the window..we're redoing a hand-me down to use temp. untill we move into a bigger place.. so it will be painted the same green as the accent wall. and there will be 2 corner shelves painted green in that corner also!
So what do you think so far?
