omg i would have had a complete cow! that could not have been comfy for him and the teachers "bed side manner" is awful! is she that immiture that she can't make a simlple verbal request to you!?!
i'm a teacher and i've had many kids with hair that was "interfering" with working and i either went out and bought hair ties or told the parent of the problem (depending on the parent).
i'd have to say something to a supervisor.

Wow good for you for pursuing it with her. IMHO her reply sounds like it's dripping with snark. Good idea with the note to the director, I think her attitude needs a tuneup.

I am glad that you confronted her. At least she knows not to do it again or mess with you!
I definitely would pursue the issue with the director though. She should know what her employees are doing. Her actions were still so inappropriate & absolutely unacceptable.

Totally agreed. As a teacher, I really appreciate when a parent comes to me first about an issue.
I would definitely still go to the director about it. But I think it's good that you spoke with her about it first
