Steph...I think your crazy!!!!!!!
Think back to that first week...round the clock feedings, waking up every 2 hrs and so forth. OMG...as DD gets older it becomes that much easier. I didnt read your whole thread yet but what is it that makes you think toddlers are so tough? (aside from their atitude problems Chat Icon )?

I did not say it was SO tough, but for me, It is much tougher than the newborn stage....if you DID read the post Chat Icon I stated that dd was sleeping through the night at 5 weeks, she was a DREAM Chat Icon

Toddler! What makes the newborn stage hard is the lack of sleep= but their needs are very basic. With toddlers its so much more. In addition to their needs, you have thier frustration about language and being denied what they want.

And teaching your kids to be good human beings is tough! Uggh! I remember telling DD to get off the swing (After 10 minutes) because another child was waiting. Her tantrum lasted so long- that we got back in line and only ended when it was her turn again. Thankfully those days are gone.

Toddler is harder as a parent I think, but getting around with a NB & the cabin fever with a NB is worse.

But of course being home and having cabin fever at the moment could be skewing my answer.

I am on the newborn side being far tougher. DS literally screamed for the first 8 weeks of his life - it was extremely difficult. I actually love that he walks and has more independence now - it's much easier on me and DH.
