I looked up on webmd but got a question that you girls might be able to answer TMI
okay my girlfriend called me frantic lastnight about when she went to the bathroom there was a little blood in her urine. I told her immediately to make an appointment to go to the doctor. She hates doctors. I told her it might be her kidneys. Like me she has 2 kids and I feel bad for her cause she is by herself and has nobody. She called me later in the night to tell me it happened again and i really feel bad and upset for her. DO you think it might be her kidneys? I want to tell h er something to ease her mind and give her some comfort. But I think it is the kidneys. She told me she has been having stomach pains sharp for awhile and just doesnt want to go to the doctor. I know I can not force her to do soemthing but I feel as bad as if it was my sister

My guess is maybe a bleeding ulcer? Either way, she needs to get to a doctor.

I had that when I had a urinary tract infection. My great-grandmother died though when her UTI went untreated and the infection spread to her blood--it is an easy fix with antibiotics, but can get serious and spread when left untreated. I also had pains in my side lower stomach with the UTI.

I had that happen when I ruptured ovarian cysts. It was unbelievably painful, and I was scared that it was something worse than it actually was.
Good luck to your friend  Get her to the Dr.! And s to you for being such a good friend

my aunt had that and it turned out to be bladder cancer. Luckily it was caught early, they did surgery to remove the tumor and she's been fine for over 1-1/2 years

My MIL had similar symptoms. It sounds like a UTI, she needs to go to the doctor for antibiotics before the pain becomes extreme!

did she blood in the stream of her urine or was it just when she wiped?
she said it was in the stream as she went and then later when she wiped. I aksed her too.

She needs to go to the doctor regardless of where or how the blood appeared. She could have a UTI, a bladder infection or a kidney infection. It is not something that will go away on its own.

MY Mom and My Aunt had that once. They both were tested and FINE. The Urologist said sometimes every one had a slight infection, some blood comes out, more thne half the time its nothing. BUT she has to get it checked out regardless.

sounds like a uti! but if it go's untreated it can become a kidney problem. she needs to get to the dr!
