So sad !! 3 yr old dies after choking on a carrot
A 3-year-old girl died after she choked while eating a carrot at a Hicksville day care school, Nassau police said Wednesday.
The tragedy occurred at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Carousel Day School on West Avenue, police said. The name of the girl was not released.
The girl swallowed a piece of carrot and began to choke, so school employees began performing CPR and called 911, police said. Police continued CPR when they arrived on the scene.
The girl was transported to Nassau University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 4:25 p.m., police said.

I am so beyond sad reading this !!! I can't even imagine what the parents are going through

This is my husband and my worst nightmare. I only buy the baby carrots and still cut them in 1/2. OMG this poor family.

I know-I would die if my daughter died anywhere-in my care or daycare or with family. So horrible.

I think about it all the time also ,and I myself would not mentally be able to handle something like that
