Wh-Wh-WHAT!!?!?!?!? - UPDATED AGAIN
I posted yesterday (under "HELP!) about how I have been bleeding for 12 days and really concerned... so taking your advice...
10:00am: I called my doctor's office and told them what's going on... they told me to leave work and come in ASAP for a sono...
10:45am: I went to my doctor this morning for a sonogram... the tech tells me that she's concerned I may have an ectopic pregnancy... so I get blood drawn and am asked to come back at 215 for an appointment with the Dr.
2:15pm: I come back - he does a pelvic exam, and explains that he thinks that I had an annovulatory cycle and that's why my period is still here... he then tells me to go home and he will call me with the beta results... but not to freak out - "don't freak out"?!?!?!? I have had FOUR - count 'em 1, 2, 3, 4 - annovulatory cycles in the last SEVEN months - not including December when I had a cyst removed and a D/C to "clear the slate"...
So, fast forward to 1hr 15 minutes ago...
6:00pm: I get my results... I am PREGNANT. My doctor is just as shocked as I am in the "reveal"...
BUT! My beta results are showing 320 and my progesterone is 38... which, he thinks, is an inviable pregnancy and I am miscarrying... (again) AND I have to go to get blood drawn in 48 hours to see if my levels rise... BUT! that I won't know until Monday night when I go to see him again...
I don't know what to think right now... this will be the second time I have miscarried (if that is in fact what is going on)... but if I am pregnant... then what to do with the progesterone levels???
I don't want to get excited... but don't want to get depressed either... I am in such a limbo right now, I don't know what to think!
Sorry this is sooooo long... thanks for "listening" 
SO - the update... I called the Dr. to find out if I should be put on Progesterone suppositories and this is what he had to say:
You ARE pregnant... but unfortunately it is not a viable pregnancy. There is what looks like a "cyst" on my ovary - but there is no blood flow to the cyst - which leads him to believe that that is the ectopic pregnancy. He wants to look at my Beta levels on Saturday to see if they decrease. If they do - then I am simply in the process of miscarrying... if not, then the cyst is definitely an embryo and I need to get a shot of methotrexate-something-or-other to dissolve the embryo...
so his lack of explanation yesterday led me to a false hope of a baby... to have it chopped down again.
I chose to take a break from the TTC process so I wouldn't be disappointed again... for this to happen... I don't know what to say - I'm just at a complete and utter loss for words - or emotion...
Thank you ladies for all your well wishes and kind words of support! You are all very much appreciated...
SECOND UPDATE::
So my Dr. called on Saturday night, my levels dropped to 198 which indicates that I miscarried again... I have to go again today to make sure that they continue to drop... and then to a sono tonight to make sure everything is "clear".
I have to take this as a sign that something was wrong with the pregnancy and that it wouldn't have been able to stick anyway... it's just so disheartening though...

why does he think you are miscarrying? Is it bc of the bleeding? How far along would you be? You progestrone and beta seem fine for so early

According to Fertility Friend I would be 6 weeks 1 day... my dr thinks I am miscarrying because he feels the progesterone levels are too low for a "viable" pregnancy - as well as the beta levels...
Does anyone know what the beta levels should be for early pregnancy?

There are no "set" levels. Anywhere from 5-1000 beta. DId he say anything about prog suppliments? seriously,. I pray you get your miracle!

sorry to hijack, but i agree, when i was almost 6 weeks pregnant with my DS, i was bleeding/spotting and my progesterone levels were really low... it was a 9, and my doctor put me on them right way, just in case the pregnancy was still viable (she also wasnt sure at the time and we had to wait for more blood results). and they worked!!

I think he wants to see if the Progesterone levels increase or stay the same by tomorrow... I would think that if he put me on them now, the suppositories will alter the blood work results... I guess if they don't he'd put me on progesterone.
IDK - I'm really so shocked right now.
