Spinoff to handpainted room accents..
Did anyone paint a white picket fence in the nursery? How did you do it? Freehand? Stencils? Please post pics if you have them. TIA

Here is the link on HSN.com -- tatouage is supposedly just a really nice dry rub -- based on hand painted murals -- i've never used it but admit to watching it on tv a few times and thinking that I'd like to try it one time.

if you look at the website they have some other options as well for fenses, this was the most basic.
Also if you really want to handpaint it I think the easiest way would be to make a template or two out of poster paper or something heavy that you can just paint in the main shape of the fence posts -- and then use tape to make the horizontal pieces -- then once that's dry go back in and by hand add accents like nails and color variations.

THANK YOU!!!! DH is painting the nursery this weekend and I was looking for ideas. We want to have a cream colored picket fence painted over a very light pink or lavender with sage green flowers coming through the pickets. here is a pic of our bedding. It is pink and cream with sage green flowers and lavender butterflies. What do you think? Will the fence look good? Image Attachment(s):
