I have just valances
We have no one behind us and acres and acres of town property that can't be built upon.
Sorry, I'm no help.
My IL's have verticals (so 80's ) in their master and glass block in their main bath.
My dad has a three bathroom house, none of them have windows... don't ask

I like the faux wood white blinds for the bathroom because they are easy to clean.

we have a roman shade. It can slide up or down, which is nice for allowing light in but provides privacy too.
