Is it possible to just fix a small chip in my windshield
....without getting a whole new windshied?
A rock flipped up and put a chip about the size of a jelly bean in my windshield. Its right next to my registration sticker on the bottom. Of course, my husband declied the glass coverage on our car insurance (even though we have USAA and our insurance is dirt cheap!)
I dont want to have to pay to replace the whole windshield if I dont have to.
I just go tmy car at the end of December too! Its only 2 months old!!
Any suggestions?
TIA!!

They sure can. I had it done 2x on my old car and you can barely tell it's done. Of course it depends on the size of the chip, etc.
Check out - http://www.safelite.com/ - they'll even come to you.

either way, its covered by insurance (if you have full glass coverage) with no deductible.
I believe it can be fixed if the chip is a size of a penny. do it quick as these temperatures (and changing) depending on the type of chip may cause it to crack more
