weight gain - 1st trimester

i am almost 11 weeks pregnant & ive only gained maybe a pound. my regular weight was anywhere around 136/137/138 depending on how much i ate, if i was bloated etc.
right now im like 138 on most days/ some days 139
i have no m/s
i eat normally (but healthier)
im just a little concerned that im almost 3 months pregnant and i had no weight gain.

i had my last appt at 8 weeks and everything was great.
im going on monday for my 11th week appt and im just a little nervous

i'm at 19 weeks and still down a few pounds from pp, with no severe m/s, and regular weight in the 120s. the doctor said not to worry--the baby takes the nutrients he needs, and in the first couple trimesters, the weight gain varies a great deal.

Don't worry that is fine - the baby is so small in the beginning. It is better than the alternative i.e. me - I am 13 weeks and already up 6 pounds even though I eat quite healthy. I started at 119 and can't seem to stop packing on the pounds!

I did not gain a pound until 16 or 17 weeks...then only gained 18 pounds the entire pregnancy...I gave birth to an 8 lb 9 oz DS...I was worried too, but the doctors were not...just continue to eat healthy and everything will be fine!!

I am almost 15 weeks and I have lost 2 lbs, haven't gained anything. I think it's because I got three sinus infections , and because of the morning sickness. But the doctor hasn't said anything to me about it. I was actually about 20 lbs overweight before I got preggo too...don't know if that has anything to do with it....

I was going to say what stickydust said, it's definitely better than the alternative! I"m only 15 weeks and have gained about 15 pounds! Not good at all!

not to worry at all, everyone gains weight differently, morning sickness or not.

last pregnancy i lost 10 pounds first tri from morning sickness, but ended up gaining about 22-23 pounds total by the end. gave birth to a perfect baby boy!

this time, at 14 weeks i am down about 1-2 pounds from morning sickness (which is not as severe as it was first time around).

i wouldn't be nervous at all

I gained 15 lbs the first trimester. you are fine!

no need to worry... i started pp at about 125ish (i had gained quite a bit of weight before my wedding and after) but had just lost 5lbs so when i found out i was pregnant i was about 120

the first 8 weeks of pregnancy i lost 10lbs then from week 8-12 i lost another 6 brought me down to 104. now at 14 weeks i havent lost or gained (but techinically im back to my normal weight) now to know me i dont easily lose weight so i was EXTREmELY concerned as well as i had no severe m/s so i went to my primaray care dr. who was very concerened checked my thyroid everything cameback normal. i went to the OB and was like WHATS WRONG WITH ME???

he said.. your pregnant!! if you dont gain anything by 16-17 weeks we'll be slightly concerened but the baby is developing well and the size is right on track actually a week a head!

So try not to worry! as long as your eating and keeping food and liquids down i wouldnt worry yet! i hope this helps!

Don't worry! Remember, the baby is still super tiny, like the size of a string bean or something so as long as the doc says the baby is developing on track, just be thankful that you'll have that much less to lose after he/she is here. Every pregnancy is different, remember that!

that is normal!!! you're really not supposed to gain much weight the first trimester. i didn't gain any...although i am heavy to being with and definitely don't need to gain a thing! the second and third trimester is when you should be gaining.

I am 5'6" and weighed 125 before getting pregnant. I gained absolutely no weight my first trimester.

It's actually quite common and no reason to worry.
