and just like that.... update.
I'm out. Onto month 14. At least I didn't waste any money on tests.
I seriously don't know how much longer I can do this. I KNOW I should see a RE but don't know where to go or where to start.
I'm mentally exhausted by this and don't know what my next step should be.
Update- I made an appt with a RE next week- hopefully my OB can get all my tests results over there in time!

Re: and just like that....
Have you spoken with your regular OB/GYN yet? They should be able to steer you in the right direction.

I agree, have you spoken to your OBGYN about recommending an RE? You can always ask on the IF board - they have so much knowledge about the doctors and the treatments I would imagine they would be of great help to you!

Re: and just like that....
I am so sorry and I am proud that you are not giving up the faith.
It is a daunting idea to have to get medical intervention, because even though DH and I aren't trying ANYWHERE as long as you and your DH, we will be considering medical intervention if I don't get a BFP in the next month or two (I am waiting this month) because of my underlying health issues.
First-why don't you find out what your HMO will cover? This way you can ponder your next step.
Maybe some simple bloodwork?
My heart truly goes out to you FM me if you need to talk

Re: and just like that....
Im sorry...i havent been trying anywhere near 14 months so i can only imagine what a rollercoaster you are on.
Definitely start with your OB and go from there. They should be able to refer you to an RE that can get you on your way.

I'm sorry
I know you have some resistance to seeing the RE, but for us, when it became a chore to TTC finally I just wanted answers and a direct route...

Re: and just like that....
I would say start with your OB but I was brushed off by one OB and then when another found a hormone issue he sent me straight to a RE anyways...
Considering you have been trying for over a year I would prob just go straight to a RE unless you have an OB that you really love and can discuss this with...
Where do you live? Maybe we can help u find a RE that will work for you

Re: and just like that....
Thanks Ladies..
I already got tons of testing by my OB... HSG, CD3 testing, a bunch of other tests, countless sonograms.... I think it's time for me to see a RE but I just don't know how far I'm going to go. The health insurance we have right now really doesn't cover much, and we aren't in the financial situation to pay for IVF out of pocket should it come to that... honestly, I don't even know if I can mentally handle the whole IVF process anyway...

I am so sorry-please do not give up. Like others, I think it is worth the RE visit. Not everything is expensive-it may be more manageable than you think-take it one step at a time.

oh Dina, I am so sorry.
My insurance doesn't cover any IF at all, so I understand where you are coming from.
