where did you position carseat in car?
Just curious because i know i have read that the center seat in back of cars is the safest, but i dont see those latches for it to hook on to in the center only on the left and right. Does this make it difficult to get seat in and out of car?

Re: where did you position carseat in car?
My infant seat was in the middle. In DHs car, the convertible seat is also in the middle, since his front seat is a full bench.
If you do not have the latches, you might be able to make a "criss cross" with the tethers and still secure itin the back seat, or their might be additional clamps in between the seat and the back.
What kind of car/truck/van is it?

read the instruction manual with your car--it will tell you where to put it.
my SUV says to put it on the right, and DH's small car said to put it in the middle---it all depends on the car. you need to find what's best for YOUR SPECIFIC car. don't go by what anyone else does for their car unless they have the same make and model as you do

Re: where did you position carseat in car?
We always had DD's car seat in the center. My old car did not have the latch system so we had to use the regular belts to hook DD's infant seat in. I know in DH we were able to use the latch belts in the center.

Would have never thought about reading the manual for the car. Thanks!

Re: where did you position carseat in car?
I had my infant car seat in the middle and when DS moved into the bigger one I moved him to behind the passengers seat. With this baby I am going to have to place the car seat where DS is now and move his to behind me. You have to do what you feel is the best for your child. If your car comes with rear airbags it is safe enough to place child on either side.
