I think we pay 2 or 3 xs a year
a little over $400.00 for DH and a little over $100.00 for me. It depends on the type of ins and the amount it is for.

I have no separate life policy just the one through the office at 1X pay.
that policy is free
hubby has the real policy at its about $90 a month.. but he's a guy *shrug*

We have a term policy on me that is paid annually but works out to a lot less than $50 a month.
We have a universal policy on DH that is paid quarterly and works out to more than $200 a month.

Each person is going to vary as for what they pay.
Each policy is based on Term or Whole insurance, (whole is more money) for starters and based on Age- at time of application, health and the amt of death benefit they choose.
Best advice I can offer, get it when you can, young and healthy and term is affordable.

That is a hard question to answer...the premiums depend on the type of insurance and face value then factor in your rating.

Family health history also is a factor. I have a slightly higher premium than what I was originally quoted because after the in depth interview, they found out that both of my parents died of cancer at a relatively young age.
My advice - EVERYONE should get a term policy if they have children. Give up something else to make it happen. We had a health scare this past year that would now make it difficult or very expensive for one of us to get life insurance. We feel truly lucky that we bought term policies before this happened.

I think I pay around $20 a month, it's paid semi-annually so I don't really remember. Non smoker, no health issues. Not a huge amount since I don't have a mortgage, etc.

We just got a term policy on each of us for $350,000. I paid in full but it would be about $108 a month for the 2 of us.
