I threw DH a 40th. Main Event in Plainview. It was great!

Great food and giant bar with big flat screens everywhere. I had his party in March during March madness..it was so manly...

I had to throw a 30th and 40th party and I had each of them at the house.
But what made it more exciting is that I made it into a theme party. It was a 70's flashback and 60's woodstock theme.
It was so much fun, between the music, the clothing, the food everyone had such a good time

I was just starting to think about this too! DH will be 30 in two years, and I'm not sure if I want to do a party or just go away to celebrate. Thanks for bringing this question up!

His surprise 30th was in our yard.
His surprise 40th was in my best friend and neighbor's backyard. I had a casino company come and a private bartender. That was the best party ever.

He still has about 4+ years until that point but I have already thought about it lol! IDK why - just thought of ideas. I definitely want to do something nice for him! This May, I am thinking about having a surprise graduation party for him - he is done with his Master's and it is a HUGE step for him! He has worked so hard and really deserves this - I'm excited!! So, for that I was thinking about having it at home.
If I did toss around ideas of a place I would look into: Butera's in Smithtown, Sweetwater's in Hauppauge, La Famiglia in Smithtown, Prime in Huntington -- maybe just a cocktail party followed by an after party at the house?? That's a cute idea! HTH!

I threw my DH's 30th at Irish Times in Holbrook....it was great! They have a private room and it was a real "man's" party.....lol!!! Highly reccommend this restaurant!!!
I also looked at Iriah Coffee Pub, which was nice- but a bit too formal for my DH"s taste. HTH!!
