Teachers? How'd you survive today?

Well after two weeks off, it was hard to go back today. How'd you all do? Were you exhausted, sleeping on the job? I totally crashed when I got home and used all my motivation on the kids today.

Today was my 1st day of maternity leave!!!!!!! Boy was I a happy girl!!!!!
Sorry to all the other gals who had ot go in today!!!

I am EXHAUSTED! My feet hurt, my belly is killing me and feels like it's being weighed down, and my back is so sore. I can't believe I'm only 27 weeks and have 13 more!! Being a teacher on your feet all day is not easy!

It wasn't too bad - just felt like I wanted to vomit all day!

I'm totally exhausted right now, though!

I was exhausted by the end of the day, but it was nice to see the kids. I ended up announcing the pregnancy today, so it was nice to be able to finally talk about it with people!

I was exhausted because I slept like absolute crap last night (I always do the night before I return after break)....but I ran on pure adrenaline. It was actually a fun day! I love being able to teach lessons again, now that I'm done with concerts for awhile.

I definitely didn't want to wake up when my alarm rang at 5 am! Today was a long day because I had a few meetings and didn't get home until almost 5 pm. It is going to be rough getting back into the swing of things after a week and a half off. I keep wondering how I will feel in May and June. I just pray it doesn't get too hot at the end of the year!!!

I was so out of breath all day-- just standing up in front of the classes and talking-- i felt like i ran a marathon!

it was okay... it would have been better, but i have such a cold...i'm all clogged up. even the kids were like "you sound funny!"

Today was my first day of maternity leave so it was nice!!! But I called my class and got upset talking to my students. I miss them so much already.

im usd to the terrible night of sleep - so i wasnt tired..

MY FEET on the other hand did not enjoy the day.. im so not making it another 3 weeks..

my ankles and feet are soooo swollen - they are up on pillows right now..

I am so stuffy, achy and sick AGAIN!! I think its all the dust in that place... I just got over a serious bacterial infection, so I hope this isnt it coming back again!!! I keep telling myself.. 9 days until a day off again!!! but it is true, being on your feet all day is very hard!!!

ugh, don't get me started...

now my kids were great - even the one that can be a bit of a handful was absent. they had their pouty moments, but all in all they were laid back and awesome. the adults on the other hand... one felt it was necessary to talk to me about his and his wife's choice to use condoms as their preferred birth control, another group of 3 teachers told me i looked so small in the front because i was carrying it all in my *** and hips, i dropped my keys (and thumb drive) in the toilet, and then at busing one of our BIG kids (i work in a school for students with severe autism ages 11-21) went off - punching, hitting, pulling the fire alarm, basically beating the crap out of various adults. we had to move all the kids out of the cafeteria while 3 security guards unsuccessfully tried to contain him. i got cornered by him like 3 times too (no matter where i went he was right behind me) but luckily managed not to get hit. as soon as i had a chance i made a break for the door. i normally don't do that but i'm not risking , sorry. i think this was my last day at busing...

so yeah, great way to start the new year (did i mention i need a new job?)

I just barely made it! I felt so crappy last night that I only slept for 1 1/2 hours! I felt drugged today, but I am surprisingly not crashing yet. I hope tonight isn't a repeat of last night!

Today was ok, but i know i go on maternity leave in 3 weeks, which I am a little sad about (not due for a few months), physically teaching has just gotten too much.

Hey you teachers we survived the first week back to work. I don't know about you but I'm totally shot. I get home and just crash. Forget about trying to make dinner, thankfully DH likes to cook. It's going to be a long school year. Congrats to all of you who just went out on maternity!

oh boy - i didnt survive it!!!!

my blood pressure was awful at my 36 week check up and went to the hospital to get blood work and monitor.. all is fine...

i was told to to take thurs and fri off.. it was great but also soooo boring.. i go to the doc 2x a week now..

thinking my leave will start this coming week!!
