I feel so guilty
DH's stepgrandfather's wake is today, about 45 min east of us. My MIL just called and told us that we are not to go in this weather and if we do go, she will be extrememly angry with us. She said to just go to the funeral. I feel terrible not going but I am also scared to go out in this weather.

don't feel guilty.....the funeral is more important than the wake....it's reserved for family and "special" people!

In 2001, my Great-Grandfather's wake was on a day just like this. Most people stayed home.
