we do. and we spend too much on each other. but its a nice tradition that I don't thnk will stop anytime soon.
Same here.
I tried to convince DH that we should skip exchanging this year, but he wasn't having it.
I wish we did stockings. I think that is so cute! We hang them, but don't fill them.

every year we say were are not and every year we wind up buying anyway. Besides my son, he is the one person I like to get gifts for- i know him the best and love him the best....

absolutely we buy for each other! i love buying for my DH--i don't think that will ever change....even if its something very small...i just couldn't imagine not getting him something for xmas.

Nothing crazy extravagant but we do exchange gifts for Christmas. We've kind of stopped for our birthdays because they are 3 days apart and we are usually on vacation which is our gift to each other. If there is something one of us really wants though we will get it.

we do... but nothing crazy. we tend to buy things we want/need all during the year, so we both have a hard time coming up with stuff for christmas. what we get each other is usually practical stuff- this year i got him a sonicare toothbrush that he wanted, a bartending book for our new bar, and a game for Wii.
he got me a shark steam mop that i've wanted to try out, and a game for wii.

We do and I really enjoy it!!! I like picking out gifts for DH (even though he can be tough to buy for) and I am not ashamed to admit that I like receiving gifts

yes, we always do... but it's never anything crazy. probably about $200 Max, if that. i hope we always do. i don't care what it is, i just think it's nice to give something to each other.

DH and I are exchanging gifts with each other. I love giving him gifts and Im pretty sure he enjoys giving me gifts too. Once we have kids, we will continue to exchange gifts but not nearly as many. We will be buying mostly for our kids then but we wont forget about each other.

We do, but usually just one item or a couple of small things. This year was tight so we got each other small things. We spent less than $40 each. DD is more important.

We do. It is the one time of year we really spoil each other. We have a christmas account to save in increments so it does not *hurt* our $$ as much.

We still exchange gifts, DH got me a diamond ring which was around 3k, plus he went to the mall yesterday and spent around 800 on other gifts for me, but i don't know what they are. He gets them all professionally gift wrapped so i have to wait til thursday to see what they are.

how do you know what he spent?
I can't answer for the poster you quoted, but all of my and DH's finances are joint - including credit cards. It would be difficult for one of us to not know what the other spent....
same with us. we do not have seperate credit cards.
